The artist claimed that Jews have a “victim” mentality because of the Holocaust.

The Dutch daily newspaper deVolkskrant published a political cartoon on Thursday that implied Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu drummed up anti-Semitic allegations against Britain’s Labour party head Jeremy Corbyn to divert attention from his own indictments for corruption.
The caricature, created by Jos Collignon, depicts Netanyahu holding a stone picked from a pile labelled “Allegations of Anti-Semitism.” His other hand holds papers with the indictment charges. Corbyn stands across from Netanyahu, quoting a well-known phrase from Christian scripture, “Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.”
The Center for Information and Documentation Israel (CIDI), a Dutch-based pro-Israel organization dedicated to combating anti-Semitism in the Netherlands, denounced the cartoon.
“Jews have a right to speak out against anti-Semitism,” wrote CIDI. “The fact that an indictment was filed against the Israeli prime minister is irrelevant. The caricature recycles anti-Semitic stereotypes that would secretly be more loyal to Israel than the countries where they live.”
The organization also emphasized that the UK’s Jewish community, and not Netanyahu, accused Corbyn of anti-Semitic rhetoric. In fact, Netanyahu has remained mute on the accusations against Britain’s potential new Prime Minister.
Collignon defended his cartoon and blamed Jews for having a “victim” mentality that carries over from the Holocaust.
“When allegations of anti-Semitism occur, the Israel lobby is never far behind,” Collignon said, according to a CIDI statement translated by JTA. “I think you’ll never understand this is the behavior of victims. There is no point linking modern-day opponents to atrocities from the past. We’re all being labeled as Nazi sympathizers.”
The UK Labour party’s anti-Semitism scandal controls to spiral out of control and the problem has become so severe that an investigation has been launched by the British government’s Equality and Human Rights Commission, the British government’s official anti-discrimination committee. Polls show that almost 90 percent of British Jews consider Corbyn an anti-Semite.
