This is the unbearable routine endured by Israeli mothers living near the Gaza border fence that the UN Human Rights Council reports keep ignoring.
Israeli mothers on the Gaza border have 15 seconds to save their children’s lives from Hamas’ rockets. What do their lives look like?
They wonder which child to unbuckle first in the car under rocket-fire. Which baby bed to run to first. Counting their kids in the bomb shelter, making sure all got to safety.
Despite the suffering, Israeli mothers also feel empathy for the mothers on the other side of the fence.

They also have a message to the mothers on the other side of the fence."I am really thinking about the same mother, in Gaza, that her child is also scared at night. We probably have a lot more in common than it looks like. We are trying to raise a generation that won't hate, but you can't love someone who is hurting you."
