The “Flying Dragon” is the Israeli Air Force’s aggressor squadron.

The “Flying Dragon,” also known as the Red Squadron or the 115 Squadron, trains the IAF’s Blue Squadrons by simulating enemy air forces.

The Red Squadron’s skilled pilots wear red ranks and patches with Arabic names.

Based at Ovda airport in southern Israel, the squadron operates F-16 jets, bell helicopters and various elements that simulate ground threats.

Their mission is likely giving other IAF squadrons a tough time, but for good reason, they say.
