Pfizer CEO Dr. Albert Bourla, a son of Holocaust survivors, lights the Chanukah candles in a virtual event at the invitation of the Israel Embassy in Washington.
“Thanks to the work of Pfizer and CEO Dr. Albert Bourla, the end of the COVID-19 pandemic seems to finally be in sight as the vaccine with the potential to save millions of lives rolls out globally,” Israel’s Embassy in Washington said in a statement.
In appreciation, the Embassy invited Dr. Bourla to light the Chanukah candles on the seventh night of the holiday.
