Just in time for Passover, Jewish rapper Nissim Black is releasing his new hit, displaying love for his new homeland and his longing for true freedom and redemption.

Jewish rapper Nissim Black’s newest release is titled Zman Cheruteinu, which is Hebrew for “the time of our freedom” as well as another name for the holiday of Passover.

Indeed, Jewish prayer books refer to the exodus from Egypt as Zman Cheruteinu. It is a theme repeated consistently in liturgy, including the Sabbath, reminding the Jewish people that they were once slaves in Egypt and that God redeemed them.
