VIDEO: Israeli Students Bring Clean Water and Energy to Poor African Village

Engineers Without Borders-Tel Aviv

A team of young, idealistic Israeli students has been working for eight years to bring basic healthcare services to a poor African village.

A humanitarian project in Tanzania conducted by students from Engineers Without Borders-Tel Aviv began in 2008 when a member traveled to the village of Minjingu and witnessed the inferior medical facilities and profound hardship faced by the population.

The organization set two main goals: planning and designing a rainwater harvesting and purification system and supplying a reliable source of electricity using solar energy.
