The Magen David Adom Human Milk Bank is an amazing project which will save thousands of babies in Israel. Learn about its lifesaving activity.

Magen David Adom’s National Blood Bank recently announced that it will soon open Israel’s first breast milk bank to allow nursing mothers to donate surplus milk for babies who do not have access to it.

There are approximately 500 milk banks around the world, but this will be the first one in Israel. It is scheduled to begin operation in April 2018 and is being set up in conjunction with Israel’s Health Ministry and the Israel Milk Bank, a non-profit organization that is working to create a human milk bank in Israel.
