Yarden Gerbi

Meet Yarden Gerbi, the #1 female Judoka in the world, winner of the gold medal at the 2013 World Judo Championship and proud Israeli.

Born and raised in the coastal city of Netanya, Yarden, is a martial arts natural. She won the Israeli championship five times by the time she was 24.

She has claimed the gold medal at the world and European championships as well as all national championships between 2007 and 2012. Yarden combines beauty, brains and brawn. She studied Economy and Management at the Open University of Israel.

She was voted Israeli Sports Personality of the Year in 2013 by the readers of The Jerusalem Post.
