VIDEO: Blind IDF Veteran Wins Bowling Competition, Sings Israeli Anthem in Japan

Blind Israeli bowling championship

IDF veteran Shlomi Lazmy, winner of the international world bowling championships for the blind, joined in singing Israel’s national anthem in Japan.

Shlomi Lazmy, a blind Israeli veteran, won first place in the International Blind Sports Federation’s 2017 10-pin Bowling World Championships for the blind.

The event was held on August 26 in Fukuoka, near Tokyo.

Lazmy, 60, was lost his sight in a mine explosion in the Golan Heights during IDF reserve duty in 1986, when he was a 28-year-old newlywed, Israel 21C reported

Lazmy, of course, is an inspiring personality, and hearing the Hatikvah, Israel’s national anthem, played in Japan enhances the emotional impact.
