VIDEO: 80 Deaf Israeli Children Celebrate Joint Bar Mitzvah Ceremony Together

Bar and bat mitzvah ceremonies are the most important rite of passage for Jewish boys and girls and this special group of deaf Israelis gathered in Jerusalem to celebrate together.

Eighty deaf and hard of hearing Israeli children enjoyed a major celebration together, joining one another to celebrate a joint bar and bat mitzvah ceremony in Israel’s capital.

The event was described as “deeply moving” by Chairman of the Jewish Agency for Israel Isaac Herzog, who attended.
