One of the world’s most ancient species, the Judean date palm is being revived after 2,000 years at the Center for Sustainable Agriculture in Israel.

The Judean date palm was known throughout the ancient world as one of the largest and tastiest in the world, aside from its medicinal properties.

Known appropriately as Methuselah, this ancient palm links the past to the present through agriculture and archaeology.

Indeed, does this not parallel the story of the Land of Israel and the return of the Jewish people to their ancient homeland after 2,000 years?
