“I received a call that a man was walking around the area…holding a sharp object in his hand, apparently going to attack someone,” said a paramedic from Magen David Adom, an emergency response organization.
“(The suspect) was supposedly neutralized by a civilian on site. I arrived several minutes later and found the attacker in critical condition with gunshot wounds to his upper body.”
The Palestinian suspect was transferred to Jerusalem’s Hadassah Hospital Mount Scopus, located in eastern Jerusalem, for further treatment.
Magen David Adom said there were no other injuries but that three people at the scene were treated for shock.
