Holocaust survivor Ester Weinrib is celebrating her 97th birthday in northern Israel, but her grandchildren could not join her due to the coronavirus lockdown.
The optimistic, still-sharp nonagenarian says it’s no problem, adding that next year they can make her birthday a double celebration.
Weinrib says she has been through much worse tribulations. We are strong and will overcome this new challenge as well, she adds.
