Prime Minister Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday held a security assessment with IDF Chief-of-Staff Lt.-Gen. Gadi Eisenkot, and other top IDF officials, at Judea and Samaria Division headquarters in the Binyamin Regional Council area following a series of deadly Palestinian terror attacks which claimed the lives of three Israelis.

Netanyahu received security briefings on ongoing IDF counter-terrorism and community defense operations in Judea and Samaria and spoke with area brigade and battalion commanders.

Netanyahu also visited the Givat Asaf junction, the site of the December terrorist attack in which two IDF soldiers, 19-year-old Yossi Cohen and 20-year-old Yovel Moryosef, were killed, and a soldier and a young woman were wounded.

“Over the weekend there were 100 arrests and yesterday there were 36. It is only a matter of time until we also find this murderer, as we found the others, and we will settle accounts with him as we did with the others,” Netanyahu vowed.

A manhunt is still underway to find the terrorists responsible for the shooting, who are believed to be a part of a Hamas cell operating in the Ramallah area.

“Palestinian terrorism will not uproot us from here. This place is the heart of our homeland,” he declared.

Israel “will take all steps against terrorism. We will not tolerate terrorism from Gaza or from Judea and Samaria. We will hit it hard,” he pledged.

He commended the Israeli citizens of Judea and Samaria for “showing resilience and steadfastness in the face of this murderous terrorism, and praise the IDF commanders and soldiers who are guarding every citizen, around the clock, seven days a week.”
