Pursuing their policy of terror incitement, senior PA officials paid their respects to a terrorist who murdered an Israeli father of six.

Senior members of Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas’ Fatah party visited the mourning tent erected in honor of Ahmed Isma’il Muhammad Jarar, the Hamas terrorist who murdered Rabbi Raziel Shevach earlier this month and was subsequently killed in an IDF raid.

The three senior Palestinian figures, Mahmoud al-Alul, Jamal Muheisen and Dalal Salameh, made the visit and paid their respects to the terrorist last Monday, and then posted a picture of it on the official Fatah movement Facebook page, the Meir Amit Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center (ITIC) reported.

Mahmoud al-Alul is a member of Fatah’s Central Committee and deputy Fatah chairman; Jamal Muheisen is a member of Fatah’s Central Committee and in charge of the bureau of mobilization and organization; Dalal Salameh is a member of Fatah’s Central Committee.

Prior to the visit, Ibrahim Ramadan, the governor of the Jenin district, came to offer his condolences. He was accompanied by several commanders of the PA security forces.

He also conveyed to the family the condolences of Abbas himself. The governor denounced the “terrorism” of the IDF in Jenin on the night Jarar was killed, and said it would not prevent the Palestinians from “continuing the struggle” against Israel.

The governor also declared the establishment of a committee that would rebuild the houses of the Jarar clan that were destroyed during the IDF counter-terrorism operation.

This blatant support for terrorism is common PA practice, the ITIC pointed out.

The PA encourages terrorists by: paying condolence calls to their families; publishing official Fatah death notices; supporting PA military-style funerals; providing financial aid to families and prisoners; and glorifying “martyrs” killed while fighting “infidels.”

These expressions of support “send the unequivocal message to the Palestinian public that popular terrorism attacks are supported by the PA and Fatah, and they encourage the Palestinians to continue the terrorism,” the ITIC said

Jarar was one of the terrorists who carried out a shooting attack near Havat Gilad in Samaria, during which Shevach, a 35-year-old father of six, was murdered.

The terrorist was killed a week and a half later during an exchange of fire between IDF Special Forces and the terrorists hiding in a building in Jenin.

Ahmed Nasr Jarar, not to be confused with the slain terrorist Ahmed Isma’il Muhammad Jarrar, was apparently the leader of the terrorist squad and escaped the IDF.

During the operation, the Israeli security forces destroyed three buildings owned by the Jarar clan.

Members of the Jarar clan are known Hamas supporters. Ahmed Isma’il Muhammad Jarar, who carried out the shooting attack, is the son of Isma’il Jarar, the brother of Nasr Khaled Ibrahim Jarar, who was a senior commander in Hamas’ military-terrorist wing.

The latter was one of the senior Hamas commanders in the battle waged in Jenin during Operation Defensive Shield. He was subsequently killed on August 14, 2002, in a clash with IDF forces in Tubas.
