I KINGS 16:24

King Omri, described in today’s verse, was actually not a righteous king of Israel, yet he merited offspring who continued his kingship, whereas the preceding evil rulers did not. Omri, we learn, merited to have three sons follow him on his throne because he built a great city in the Land of Israel. Supporting and building up Israel is not only the right thing to do, but it brings many blessings into our lives!
