GENESIS 23:1

Genesis 23-25 is a Torah portion called Chayei Sarah/The Life of Sarah, and it begins by describing Sarah’s death and Abraham’s purchase of a burial plot for her in Hebron. Here’s a famous question asked by our Sages: since the Torah is focusing on Sarah’s death and burial in this portion, why is it called “the Life of Sarah”? Sarah’s life was so righteous and full of meaning, that even in her death, we focus on her spiritual merits.
