ESTHER 9:28

Today’s verse tells us that the miraculous story of Purim, recorded in the Book of Esther, must be “remembered and celebrated throughout every generation.” A few weeks after Purim, we will observe Passover, when we are commanded to remember and retell the story of the Exodus. Why is it so important to remember these events so carefully thousands of years later? Their lessons are still relevant to our lives. On both holidays, we tap into the joy of God’s salvation and intervention in our lives, and become determined to renew our connection with Him.
