Drive-By Shooting Thwarted Near Maale Adumim

Two Palestinian terrorists were thwarted in their attempt to shoot an Israeli near Maale Adumim, east of Jerusalem, Saturday evening. The terrorists drove past an Israeli car and for unknown reasons, were prevented from shooting, fleeing the scene towards Jerusalem. No one was injured and no shots were fired. Roadblocks have been set up and police are searching for the potential assailants.

On Thursday night, an unarmed security guard was critically injured in an ax attack at a mall in Maale Adumim after it had closed for the night. It is suspected the assailant had a permit to work in the city, though it is unknown how he stayed after hours. Police are still searching for the assailant.

Also, on Friday, IDF troops shot and killed a teenager as he tried to stab them near the town of Bet El. The 17-year-old terrorist, Mahmoud Muhammad Shaalan, a resident of the village of Deir Daboun, north of Ramallah, reportedly had American citizenship.
