DEUTERONOMY 15:11

This verse calls for us to be proactive in giving to others, using a double verb in Hebrew (literally, “you shall open and open your hand”) to tell us to give to others again and again. It’s easy to pay lip service to giving charity, but how many of us truly ‘open our hands’ to the poor?
