Chelsea Clinton Takes Break From Campaigning to Give Birth

Chelsea Clinton and her husband Marc Mezvinsky announced on Saturday the birth of their second child. They chose the name Aidan for their newborn son. Their first child, a daughter named Charlotte Clinton Mezvinsky, was born in 2014. Chelsea, 36 years old, is the only child of former President Bill Clinton and Hillary, current front-runner for the Democratic nomination for the Presidential campaign.

Marc and I are overwhelmed with gratitude and love as we celebrate the birth of our son, Aidan Clinton Mezvinsky.

Mezvinsky, a Jewish investment banker and hedge fund manager, is the son of former US Rep. Edward Mezvinsky and former US Rep. Marjorie Margolies-Mezvinsky. He married Chelsea in 2010 in an interfaith ceremony conducted by a rabbi and a Methodist minister.

Heavily shielded from the media during her father’s presidency, Chelsea stepped into the limelight recently in order to actively campaign for her mother.

Hillary Clinton is trailing Donald Trump is such family matters. His daughter, Ivanka, and Jared Kishner gave birth in March to their third child, Theodore James. Ivanka converted to Judaism a few months before their wedding in 2009 and took on the Jewish name Yael.
