American Lone Soldier Honored for Killing Four Hamas Fighters

Staff Sgt. (res.) Sahar Elbaz, from the Givati Brigade was awarded the Bonei Zion (Builders of Zion) Prize in the IDF and National Service Young Leadership Award category in a Knesset ceremony on Monday. Elbaz is a lone soldier originally from California, who made aliyah in 2012. He was honored for single handedly killing four Hamas terrorists during a tunnel-destroying mission in Operation Protective Edge two years ago, The Times of Israel reported.
