Monaliza Abdo is an Arab Christian woman from Haifa, a city in northern Israel. Arabs are not obligated to serve in the army, but she still decided to join an IDF unit to prevent terror attacks and illegal drug smuggling.
She talks about why it’s important to her to serve in the IDF and her experiences when deciding to enlist.
Monaliza’s mother also shares her sentiments about her daughter’s enlistment and her thoughts about Arab boys and girls deciding to join the IDF.
