The Torah’s qualifications for leadership were not to Korach’s liking.
One of the reasons for Korach’s revolt was the nomination of Elizaphan, his younger cousin, as leader of the Tribe of Levi.
Korach believed that since he was closer in line, in terms of lineage, the job should have gone to him.
Indeed, he was furious with Moses.
