VIDEO: Israelis Look Forward to Visit from India’s Prime Minister

Netanyahu and Modi

Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit to the Jewish state will be the first ever by a sitting Indian prime minister.

Israelis are looking forward to next week’s visit to Jerusalem by Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India, which will further strengthen the bond between New Delhi and Jerusalem.

Speaking at the beginning of the Cabinet meeting on Sunday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that his “friend” Modi’s visit to Israel is historic.

Netanyahu and Modi met for the first time at the UN in September 2014, the first such meeting in over a decade.

The two countries will establish a joint innovation, research and development fund, among other initiatives.
