Over the past several years, the Hezbollah terror organization has dug cross-border attack tunnels from Lebanon into Israel with the objective of sending terrorists to attack communities inside Israel.
The IDF launched Operation Northern Shield last week to expose and neutralize these terror-tunnels. Just hours into the operation, IDF troops exposed and neutralized a 600-foot tunnel, which began under a civilian building in southern Lebanon, was dug through solid rock, and extended into Israeli territory.
The IDF has since exposed anther two such terror tunnels.
