Top rabbis, a beloved singer, and a number of others convened a special service on Thursday to pray for an end to the corona epidemic.
While adhering to the government’s social distancing mandates, the Western Wall’s Chief Rabbi Shmuel Rabinovitz and popular singer Ishay Ribo held a moving ceremony at the Western Wall on Thursday, pleading for an end to the coronavirus pandemic.
The service was broadcast live, “uniting hearts in common prayer for the world at large,” according to an official statement.
After Ribo sang inspiring songs, Rabbi Rabinovitz intoned, “We pray to our Father our King, prevent this illness from harming us…and send complete healing to the whole world.”
