This photo by Boruch Len shows one of the many beautiful old synagogues of Safed (in Hebrew, Tzfat), dating from the 16th century. Incredibly, 500 years later, this synagogue is still in use! Its vaulted ceilings, colorful decorations, and ancient Torah scrolls are an open invitation to all!
