Shin Bet: No Terrorism Casualties in April, First Since 2017

The Israeli internal security agency known as the Shin Bet or Shabak reported that in April there were 126 terrorist attacks in Israel but they did not result in any injuries or deaths. The last casualty-free month was December 2017. This compares to 308 attacks in March of 2019.

The majority of the attacks, 88 total, were in Judea and Samaria, 12 in Jerusalem, and 12 in the Gaza Strip and Sinai. There were no attacks in the central region of Israel.

This data does not include the four Israelis killed in last month’s rocket attacks.

Last Wednesday, 65 Palestinians were injured when an estimated 10,000 Gazans rioted the border fence separating Israel from Gaza, setting fires, burning tires, and throwng rocks and incendiary devices. Aerial incendiary devices landed in Israel setting nine fires.
