This Torah portion, from which today’s verse is taken, read in synagogues all over the world describes the donations of the tribal leaders, known as princes, in celebration of the sanctification of the Mishkan. After their donations were accepted, they were then inspired to bring offerings in celebration of the dedication of the Altar. Following this example, the inaugurations of the first and second Temples were also celebrated with an abundance of offerings, and we await the day on which we will celebrate the inauguration of the third Temple in the same manner.
