Israeli police reported that an Arab man attempted to board the light rail in downtown Jerusalem on Sunday morning with plans to detonate numerous explosive devices on the train. The man initially raised suspicions of the train security guards who proceeded to inquire about his bag. Upon examining the bag, the guard discovered multiple pipe bombs which the would-be terrorist had intended to use to kill Israelis.
