Israel Strikes Gaza Targets in Response to Rocket Fire

Israel’s Air Force bombed Hamas targets in Gaza in response to an earlier rocket attack on Israel.

The IDF bombed Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip early Tuesday morning in response to a rocket attack by Gaza-based terrorists on Israel late Monday night.

The rockets fell in open space near the Sha’ar Hanegev Regional Council, causing no casualties or damage.

Israel’s Air Force (IAF) targeted two Hamas military infrastructures in Gaza.

An Islamic State (ISIS) affiliate claimed responsibility for the attack. However, “the IDF holds Hamas responsible for all attacks at Israel from the Gaza Strip,” an IDF spokesman stated.

The last such incident occurred last month when terrorists fired rockets from the Sinai Peninsula at Israel. No injuries were recorded in that attack.

Israel has recently adopted a policy of responding to every rocket attack from Gaza, holding the Hamas Islamic terror group, which rules Gaza, responsible for all attacks emanating from its territory.

Since Operation Protective Edge in the summer of 2014, there have been multiple rocket attacks from Gaza. Tens of rockets have exploded in Israeli territory.
