Israel Razes 2-Km-Long Tunnel in Jabaliya
The route, several meters deep, had been used by Hamas terrorists for extended stays.

Israeli troops successfully destroyed a two-kilometer-long underground route in the Jabaliya area of northern Gaza, where Hamas has been trying to regroup, the Israel Defense Forces said on Thursday.

Troops also located and destroyed a weapons cache, including vests, uniforms, and military equipment, and obliterated a building used to manufacture explosives.
The announcement came one day after the army disclosed forces destroyed a pair of 2-km-long tunnels in southern and central Gaza.
Earlier on Thursday, the IDF said that it launched an airstrike on a vehicle carrying members of a Palestinian Islamic Jihad squad near the Al-Awda Hospital in the central Gaza town of Nuseirat.
The army said precision weapons and aerial surveillance and other measures were taken to mitigate harm to civilians.
Also on Thursday, the army announced the death of a reserve soldier killed in central Gaza. The fallen soldier was identified as Cpt. (res.) Amit Levi, 35, from Kibbutz Shomria. The IDF said it was investigating the circumstances and did not elaborate further.
At least 1,200 people were killed, and 252 Israelis and foreigners were taken hostage in Hamas’s attacks on Israeli communities near the Gaza border on October 7. Of the 97 remaining hostages, more than 30 have been declared dead. Hamas has also been holding captive two Israeli civilians since 2014 and 2015, and the bodies of two soldiers killed in 2014.
