IDF Finds Terror Tunnel in Jordan Valley
IDF said underground infrastructure found in the Jordan Valley on the eastern border of Israel ‘did not have exit openings.’

The IDF reported that Israel Air Force fighters Tuesday afternoon attacked weapons warehouses used by Hezbollah in the Al-Qusayr area in Syria.
Hezbollah’s armaments unit is responsible for storing weapons in Lebanon and recently expanded its operations to Syria within the Al-Qusayr region, close to the Syria-Lebanon border, explained the IDF.
“This is another example of Hezbollah creating a logistical infrastructure for the transfer of weapons from Syria to Lebanon through the border crossings,” said the IDF. “Hezbollah, with the support of the Syrian regime, endangers the safety of the citizens by basing its infrastructure in civilian areas.”
The IDF also said that security forces had on Monday night begun brigade-wide operations in the Jordan Valley, Menashe, and Samaria Brigade regions to crack down on terrorism.
During operations in the Jordan Valley Brigade region, forces exchanged fire with terrorists and located seven explosive devices in a mosque. IAF aircraft struck and eliminated two armed terrorists on whose person weapons were found. An additional terrorist was eliminated in a later clash.
In the Menashe Brigade region, an armed terror cell was hit in an aerial strike after the terrorists fired at the forces and hurled explosives at them. In addition, an bomb-making lab was found, and a number of wanted suspects were arrested.
In the Samaria Brigade region, weapons were confiscated, terror funds were seized, and nine suspects were arrested. In addition, homemade explosive devices were found and destroyed.
In addition, during operations by the Jordan Valley Brigade region, underground terror infrastructure was found. The noted the infrastructure did not have exit openings.
