Palestinians opened fire at an Israeli car Sunday morning north of Jerusalem, near the Jewish community of Beit El. No injuries were reported, and the shooters are believed to have fled to the Arab village of Jilazon.
Security forces found five bullet casings near the scene of the shooting. Witnesses said the Arab car waited patiently by the side of the road, opened fire easily and fled the scene.
The attack followed a Code Red siren near the Gaza-Israel border fence earlier Monday, and a stabbing attack that left one man wounded in Efrat on Friday night.
The incident was the fifth shooting attack in Samaria in the last 10 days. Last week, an empty bus sustained several bullets near the community of Talmon, several days after a woman was shot while traveling with her children near their home in Neve Tzuf. In addition, a man, also a resident of Neve Tzuf, sustained gunshot wounds to the face near Shokba Junction lightly injured in the face after, and an IDF soldier was lightly-to-moderately wounded during a security operation in Nablus when local residents opened fire.
IDF forces are currently sweeping the area.
This is a developing story.
