The land of Israel has always been at the center of First Fruits of Zion’s mission. Even our organization’s name itself is intimately connected to the land of Israel and is a declaration that the message of the coming kingdom must come out of Zion.
We believe that there is no understanding of the Bible without a deep and intimate connection to the land of Israel. After all, this is the place where God chose to tell his story. The land of Israel is where God chose for his people to dwell and allowed his own presence to reside. How can anyone understand the stories, parables, or other scriptures if they are removed from the land where they took place?
Touring the land—or perhaps a more appropriate phrase—pilgrimage to the land, in many ways, is not only important for every believer but is also a fulfillment of prophecy:
It shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established as the highest of the mountains, and shall be lifted up above the hills; and all the nations shall flow to it, and many peoples shall come, and say: “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob, that he may teach us his ways and that we may walk in his paths.” For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. (Isaiah 2:2-3)
