ACT NOW! Protest Keffiyeh-Wearing Educators in San Francisco Schools
In an alarming development, educators in San Francisco public schools have been spotted wearing keffiyehs—a symbol closely associated with Hamas and their violent anti-Israel agenda.
This choice of attire is not a harmless fashion statement but a blatant endorsement of a group responsible for heinous terrorist acts, including the barbaric slaughter of 1,500 innocent people on October 7, 2023, and the continued captivity of 101 hostages, some of whom are children as young as 22 months.
The keffiyeh, popularized by infamous terrorists like Yasser Arafat and Leila Khaled, represents violence and hatred.
Allowing this symbol on school campuses creates a hostile environment for Jewish students and faculty, undermining SFUSD’s stated commitment to inclusivity and anti-racism.
If Confederate flags or Nazi symbols are banned in schools—and rightfully so—why is an emblem of Hamas terrorism tolerated?
Such actions send a chilling message to Jewish students: that their safety, identity, and history are not valued.
This display of pro-Hamas sentiment is not only an affront to the victims of terrorism but also a disturbing reflection of rising antisemitism in schools nationwide.
We must demand accountability from SFUSD. Support for terrorism and Jew hatred has no place in our educational system.
