ACT NOW! Demand Apology from Washington Post for Disgraceful Shaming of Israeli Hostage’s Family
The Washington Post has reached a new low in its anti-Israel bias with its recent deplorable coverage of the Neutra family, whose son Omer is a hostage of Hamas.
The newspaper’s deleted tweet—viewed over 32,000 times—linked to an article that scandalously referred to Neutra as “missing” rather than a hostage and criticized his parents for not condemning Israel’s counterattacks on Gaza.
This vile attempt to shame grieving parents for not aligning with a particular narrative is nothing short of outrageous.
Rep. Ritchie Torres, a prominent and staunch supporter of Israel, has rightly condemned the Post’s actions.
Torres called out the paper’s attempt to paint the Neutras in a negative light, asserting that “there is a taboo against any acknowledgment of Israeli victimhood because the Narrative, as opposed to the Truth, demands that Israel be seen only as the villain.”
That the Washington Post would shame the parents of Omer Neutra for keeping their focus on the captivity of their son is beneath contempt.

The Post’s original post was swiftly deleted after widespread backlash, but the damage had been done.
The coverage, which focused on casualty figures from Hamas’s health ministry without verification, reflects a troubling pattern of anti-Israel sentiment.
Critics argue that the paper’s foreign desk, with a history of problematic reporting, continues to skew facts to fit an anti-Israel agenda.
It’s time to hold The Washington Post accountable.
Demand that the paper issue a formal apology to the Neutra family and commit to fair and balanced reporting on Israel.

I am deeply troubled by your recent coverage of the Neutra family and their son, Omer.
Criticizing grieving parents for not addressing Israel’s actions while their son is held hostage is disgraceful.
I urge you to issue a formal apology to the Neutras and commit to fair and accurate reporting on the Israeli-Hamas conflict.
Sincerely,
