Hezbollah Leader Calls Trump an “Idiot”, Threatens Israeli Nuclear Reactor

In a televised speech last Sunday, Hassan Nasrallah, the Secretary General of the political and military wings of Hezbollah in Lebanon called US President Donald Trump, “an idiot” and former President Barack Obama a hypocrite. His diatribe continued as later in the week, he threatened Israel’s with missile strikes targeting its nuclear reactor.

In a  televised address on the website of the al-Manar television last Sunday, Nasrallah directly insulted President Trump.

“We are very optimistic that when an idiot settles in the White House and boasts about his idiocy, this is the beginning of relief for the oppressed around the world,” Nasrallah said. He did compliment the new president, saying Trump removed former President Obama’s “mask of hypocrisy,” revealing the “racist and blood-shedding” of America.

In another address on Thursday, Nasrallah threatened that  his organization’s missiles could hit any strategic site inside of Israel, including the nuclear reactor in the southern city Dimona.  He warned Israel to dismantle their nuclear reactor lest it cause massive destruction after being hit by Hezbollah missiles.

“I call on Israel not only to empty the ammonia tank in Haifa, but also to dismantle the nuclear reactor in Dimona. Our military capabilities will strike Israel and its settlements,” he warned.

This warning was a mocking reference to a previous incident. Last year, Nasrallah threatened a missile strike against a large, industrial ammonia tank in Haifa, saying the ensuing explosion would have the same effect as a nuclear bomb. Last week, a Haifa court ordered the 12,000 ton tank emptied, saying it posed a threat to the city’s population if it was damaged by missile strikes or a natural disaster.
