A Family of Courage: Facing Oct. 7th and the Future Together
The following account narrates the tale of Itay Nachmias, an IDF soldier who, despite not being part of his local village’s security team, insisted on engaging in combat to safeguard his community on the morning of October 7th.
It is also the chronicle of Itay’s father, who, upon learning of his son’s demise, courageously risked his own life to shield Itay’s body from potential abduction.
Lastly, it unfolds the narrative of Itay’s two elder brothers, who promptly volunteered for reserve duty immediately after the conclusion of the mourning period (“Shiva”) and now share the family’s courageous journey.
