On Sunday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu presided over the swearing-in ceremony of Israel’s 35th government.
Israel’s new unity government was sworn in on Sunday, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu overseeing the proceedings and Alternate Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Benny Gantz also addressing lawmakers.
Declaring sovereignty over Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria ranks high on the new government’s list of priorities with the annexation plan set to advance as soon as July.
As Israel emerges from the coronavirus crisis, the new government will also try to kick Israel’s economy into high gear while taking precautions to avoid another COVID-19 outbreak.
