Tel Aviv’s farmers’ market hosted an artisanal candy festival this week that offered exotic delicacies and classic sweet treats.

When most people think of candy, they conjure up images of stale, sickly-sweet, pre-packaged junk near the checkout counter at the grocery store.

Well, the wares that were offered at the first ever Candy Festival in Tel Aviv’s Namal Farmers’ Market couldn’t have been further from the stuff that passes for candy at the local store. These largely hand-crafted treats made with local ingredients will get your mouth watering!
