Reports recently emerged of secret visits by three Iraqi delegations to Israel, providing yet another example of the warming ties between Israel and Arab nations.
Israel’s foreign ministry revealed this week that several delegations of Iraqi officials have visited the Jewish state recently.
The visits represent yet another example of Arab nations reconsidering their approach to relations with Israel, with Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, and the United Arab Emirates all taking small steps toward the Jewish state as of late.
While Baghdad does not officially recognize Israel, the visiting Iraqi delegations point to the potential for that to change.
