On Sunday, an attempted stabbing attack was foiled in Judea and Samaria while in Tel Aviv, a terrorist guilty of murdering two was indicted for murder.
The stabbing attack, by a 15-year-old female terrorist, was thwarted on Sunday afternoon in Kiryat Arba, a Jewish settlement just outside the city of Hebron. The city, which contains the Cave of the Patriarchs, has been a hotbed of terror attacks and unrest in recent months.
According to reports, the attack took place on the road from Kiryat Arba to Hebron. The teenaged terrorist was shot and neutralized by IDF forces and taken to the Hadassah Ein Kerem hospital in Jerusalem in moderate to serious condition. No other injuries were reported.

Also on Sunday, Raed Masalmeh, a 36-year-old Palestinian terrorist who stabbed two Jews to death in Tel Aviv on November 15, was indicted for murder and attempted murder in the Tel Aviv District Court.
The indictment revealed that four days prior to the attack, Masalmeh had received a work permit from Israel allowing him to be in the country. The permit was issued only after security services performed a background check on Masalmeh and found no record of previous suspicious activity.
His motives remain a mystery to law enforcement. Masalmeh’s wife had recently given birth to twins, the couple’s fourth and fifth children, and he appears to have no ties to extremist groups.
On the day of the attack, Masalmeh took a knife from the Tel Aviv grill restaurant where he worked and entered the Panorama building to search for Jewish victims. Upon finding a group of Jewish men gathered for afternoon prayers, he attacked, stabbing to death Reuven Aviram, 51, and Aharon Yesiav, 32. He attempted to stab several others before he was subdued.

The terrorist was previously reported as having said that he wanted to die as a martyr, but as he stood in court for the indictment, he suddenly expressed regret and began to cry, according to a TV report by Channel 2 news. The report included footage of Masalmeh wiping his eyes and repeating, “I’ve lost everything I had.”
