A long-time supporter of the Jewish State, billionaire Sheldon Adelson, offered to pay for at least part of the US embassy’s move to Jerusalem.
The Trump administration is reviewing the offer as there is no precedent for this type of arrangement.
Specifically, questions have been raised regarding the legality and wisdom of permitting a private donor to fund a government building.
