Only in Israel! The prime minister visited IDF soldiers guarding the northern border against terrorist infiltration, telling them how much he appreciates them.
The Jewish state, situated in the volatile Middle East, faces not only military threats, but also non-conventional terror groups such as ISIS, Hezbollah, Islamic Jihad and Hamas at its borders.
As Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told the troops in a visit to the northern border, because of their dedication and professionalism, Israel has been experiencing relative quiet as opposed to the death and destruction in the region over the past several years.
Israel can rely only on itself to protect the state and its people, he said, adding that he is proud of the IDF and came personally to show his appreciation on behalf of all citizens.
