VIDEO: ‘Bilateral Relationship is Expanding,’ Japan’s FM Tells Netanyahu

Japanese FM Tara Kono and Netanyahu

Thanks to Netanyahu’s recent visit to Japan, the “bilateral relationship is expanding” between the two countries, Foreign Minister Tara Kono stated.

Japanese Foreign Minister Tara Kono, on his first visit to Israel as foreign minister – his fourth to the country – said bilateral ties between the two countries were booming.

During a press conference, in the presence of Minister of Regional Cooperation Tzachi Hanegbi, both leaders acknowledged the flourishing relationship between the two countries, both of which are situated in hostile regions.

Elaborating on Israel’s successful innovation in all areas, Netanyahu made no mention of Japan’s vote against US recogniton of Jerusalem as the Israeli capital at the UN last week.

Watch the video and hear Kono’s enthusiasm about taking cooperation with Israel to the next level.
