AP’s media coverage of recent events in Israel outrageously equated Israeli victims of terror with Palestinian rioters. We must protest!
The Associated Press (AP) is one of the primary providers of news worldwide, and it influences how the world perceives events occurring across the globe.
In Israel, AP has been repeatedly cited for its biased reporting. Its coverage of the most recent events, however, has been outrageous, as it applies moral equivalence to innocent Israeli victims of terror and violent Palestinian rioters.
This is the chain of events:
On July 14, three Arab terrorists launched a terror attack from the Temple Mount, killing two Israeli police officers.
The attack prompted Israel to introduce security measures at the site, including metal detectors similar to those that visitors must pass through on their way to the Western Wall.
In response, the Palestinians reacted with violent protests, incited by their political and religious leadership, in which at least three rioters were killed.
A week later, on Friday night, a Palestinian terrorist broke into the home of a family that was enjoying Shabbat dinner in the Israeli community of Halamish in Samaria. He murdered Yosef Salomon, 70, and two of his children – Elad, 36, and Chaya, 46, as well as seriously wounding his wife Tovah, 68.
AP framed the murders as a legitimate Palestinian reaction to alleged “Israeli restrictions” to the Temple Mount, while ignoring Palestinian incitement and downplaying the original Temple Mount terror attack that prompted the installation of the metal detectors.
AP lumped the terror attack together with the Arab riots. “3 Palestinians, 3 Israelis killed in violence over holy site,” was their headline
AP cast the terror attack as a part of a series of “clashes” on Friday over Israel’s installation of metal detectors, equating Palestinians killed by Israeli security forces during violent riots initiated by Palestinian leaders with the intentional Palestinian murder of innocent Jewish civilians.
We must protest AP’s biased reporting. Our voices must be heard!

The Palestinians’ self-proclaimed knife intifada is the latest result of ongoing incitement against innocent Israelis. Israelis are being stabbed, shot and run over. Yet the world is silent. Help Israel to fight and win the war against terror. The time to act is now!
