Pfizer CEO tells Israeli press he is working on a vaccine that will last a year
Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla is in Israel to accept the Genesis Prize to Dr. Bourla in a solemn ceremony to be held in Jerusalem on June 29.
During his visit, he was interviewed by several Israeli media outlets. Among them was the state-run Kann News network.
During the interview, Bourla admitted that he did not know how long coronavirus would persist but said that his company is developing an annual vaccine similar to the flu shot, saying: “We are working right now is to have a vaccine that lasts at least a year so that will be with one annual shot like with flu people can feel protected for the remainder of the year.”
