Five rockets were fired from Gaza on Friday night, but only two landed inside Israel, with no injuries or damaged reported. Three rockets landed on the Gazan side of the border fence. Red alert sirens sounded in southern Israel and residents were instructed to enter bomb shelters and safe rooms.

Sunni militants affiliated with the Islamic State (ISIS) claimed responsibility for the rocket attack.

The Israeli Air-Force responded by launching two airstrikes on Saturday morning, hitting two Hamas military targets and two terrorist infrastructure targets. No casualties were reported.
